Title:
re: A forgotten farming technique is making a big comeback – here’s why
I LOve this story. Seems like a no brainer if you want to save money and protect your desired outcome.
This method makes agricultural plots more like ecosystems.
Mono culture does not exist in nature.
The more agriculture and horticulture or any other land use, can resembles a balanced ecosystems
the less reliant they will be on pesticides and maintenance (reducing costs) and the more healthy and resilient and they will be.
We are now half way through the UN's Decade of Ecosystems Restoration. A reduction in the abuse of pesticides to manage invasive species,
can improve outcomes for farmers and help restore ecosystems.
They go hand in hand. How do we get this message out there!
