Title: Welcome

It is recommended that synthetic chemical herbicide (SCH) use be reduced with a view to elimination. There are many instances where SCH can be immediately eliminated. For instance, in children’s playgrounds and other public recreation areas, environmental community regeneration projects, and on nature strips where residual SCH run off into our waterways. Several councils and universities are taking the initiative to eliminate all SCH in their maintenance works.

Within the following year Nature's Weeding Network will research and document these procedures in order to provide other organisations who are interested in adopting sustainable weed management with tried and proven methods. In the meantime, if herbicide is seen as a transitional option, we will only be recommending the use of certified organic herbicides. These can be obtained in Australia (click here). We are seeking suppliers in other countries - please contact us if you sell or can recommend certified organic herbicide.
