Garden Escapees become Environmental Weeds is a full colour publication that provides alternatives to twenty of the worst garden escapees (environmental weeds of horticultural origin) in the Ipswich region. While the research for this book and supporting poster was principally confined to the greater Ipswich region; environmental weeds are notorious for not respecting Local Government boundaries. As such, the information documented has relevance to much of the subtropical region of South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Reviews
“…taking the guesswork out of identifying the worst weeds in local gardens…” Queensland Times, p.6, 50313.
“A handy practical field manual to help gardeners in sub-tropical areas identify some of the most troublesome weeds and then provide three native alternatives. This book is about improving the plants we grow by replacing weeds with Australian native species. The stunning images are a great asset when it comes to verifying weed versus alternative species. An excellent reference for people of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.” Paul Plant (ed.), subtropical Gardening, p.88, 10313.
“…raise the public’s awareness of the issue of environmental weeds and reduce the weed management burden imposed upon taxpayers, conservation volunteers and the natural environment…” Moreton Border News, p.3, 80312.
