Planting with Pride: A Rainbow Family Garden Day is a family-friendly event designed to promote environmental stewardship, community connection, and inclusivity. Hosted in partnership with Rainbow Families Switchboard and presented in Partnership with the Victorian Government, this event aligns with the National Children’s Week theme, “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment,” and features Frock Hudson. The event is aimed at children aged 0-12 and their families, offering fun and educational gardening activities.

This Children’s Week event is presented by the Victorian Price Centre in partnership with the Victorian Government and Rainbow Families, Switchboard.

Celebrate Children’s Week with a fun-filled, family-friendly event designed to inspire little green thumbs and bring our community together!

Hosted by the fabulous Frock Hudson, Planting with Pride: A Rainbow Family Garden Day is a joyful morning of gardening, storytelling, and hands-on activities where children (ages 0-12) and their families can plant flowers and vegetables, while learning about the importance of caring for our environment. ����

�� Get Ready to Get Your Hands Dirty! ��

At Planting with Pride: A Rainbow Family Garden Day, you’ll have the chance to plant your very own flower or vegetable! ����

Each child will get to take home their plant and the colourful pot you decorated. �� Don’t forget to bring your own apron or smock and be prepared for a fun, hands-on experience!

This is a chance to learn about gardening and caring for our environment – and you’ll get to watch your plant grow at home! ����

In partnership with Rainbow Families Switchboard, this event promotes the theme “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment” by highlighting environmental stewardship and encouraging children to connect with the world around them in a fun and engaging way.
